Focus on an object E-mail

An object can help you keep focus during meditation.

Find an object

Choose any object to focus on. This may be something that inspires you or that you feel attached to. The object can be a flower, the flame of a candle, a beautiful painting or photo, or a religious figure.

Focus on an object

Focus on the object while you calm down your mind. Let your thoughts settle down and relax. If you feel distracted, fix your attention back on the object. You are not supposed to stare hard at the object – use it only when the thoughts disturb your meditation.

Focus on a sound

Repeating a simple sound, word or phrase can also help you keep focus during meditation. The sound "OM" is the most popular one.
