Awareness and plan of action

Companies that haven’t focused on burn-out earlier, ought to:

  • make leaders and employees aware of burn-out and its symptoms. This will help to detect burn-out on an early stage
  • work out a plan of action that will be put into effect when burn-out is discovered

 

Strategic plan

All companies ought to have a long-term plan for prevention of burn-out, where they:

  • identify the extent of burn-out and the factors that lead to stress, overload and burn-out in the company
  • work out actions to reduce the effect of the factors

Don’t initiate too many actions at the beginning. Start with actions you believe will have the biggest effect on preventing burn-out, and focus on these for a period of time.
