A person who is burning out, or already has, has usually a desperate need to get out of the situation. The fatigue and despair that is connected with burn-out makes it difficult for victims to see solutions – they feel trapped in the situation. Often they also feel alone in their despair.
People that have come too fare in the burn-out process usually need help from others to realize their situation and how they can get out of it. Often it is the spouse, a friend or the boss that have to confront the victim with honest feedback and constructive solutions.
