Awareness E-mail

One of the ”immediate actions” is to make leaders and employees in the company aware of burn-out. They should be informed about:

  • The company will now focus on burn-out:
    • why?
    • public and social costs connected with burn-out
  • Burn-out:
  • When burn-out is detected:
    • when to notify that a colleague might be burning out
    • who to inform
    • who has the responsibility for what
    • actions that will be put into effect when burn-out is discovered
  • What happends next?
        • stress and burn-out in the company
        • factors that cause stress, overload and burn-out
      • actions used to reduce the negative effect of the factors
    • suggestions from employees about:
      • factors that should be addressed
      • actions that should be initiated

Give information to everyone

It is especially important that the management learns about burn-out because this increases the realization of the gravity of burn-out. Everyone in the company should be informed about burn-out and its symptoms so they can recognize these symptoms with themselves and others, at work and at home.

Orally – not only written

To make sure that everyone gets the message, it should be given orally at a meeting with mandatory attendance. If the information is only given in writing, those who need it the most, can just put it in a drawer because they do not have time to read it...
